About Us
At Classroom Adventure Stories you and your students become the main characters in a story that will keep them entertained as they learn. Each story is completely personalized to your class, with the teacher and each student playing an important role and having speaking lines. The stories are also highly interactive. Your students are not passively listening to the story, they are active participants in the story!
About the Stories
A Not-So-Typical Campfire Story (for grades pre-K to 3) is a highly interactive story in which your students will become campers and participate in a 'camp-quake', a forest fire, a flood, and other camping adventures. It teaches the valuable Character Development lessons of Cooperation and Perseverance; and also meets the core curriculum standards for English, Science, and the Lively Arts.
The Far-Out Field Trip (for grades 4 to 6) will turn your students into 'classtronauts' and whisk them away on a trip throughout the Milky Way! At the conlusion of the story, the author will launch model rockets with your class (weather, space, and time permitting). This story teaches the valuable Character Development lessons of teamwork and following one's dreams. It also meets the core curriculum for Science, English, and the Lively Arts.
Saving Christmas (for grades pre-K to 3) debuted on November 27, 2007 at Today's Child Learning Centers. It was a smash hit with the students, who especially liked the snow storms. It was also a hit with the teachers and parents who enjoyed the story, and the reaction of the students when they heard their own names throughout the story. This story will take your students on a Christmas Adventure to the North Pole where they will help Santa Claus prepare for Christmas and then help him deliver presents to children all over the world. This story will teach the valuable Character Development lesson of helping those in need.
Going Wild in the Jungle (for grades pre-K to 3) will take your students on 'safari' through a jungle and savanna. We'll meet monkies, lions and other jungle animals. This story will teach the valuable Character Development lesson that being 'different' is not always a bad thing. It also contains an anti-bullying message.
Scary Story (for grades 1 thru 6) will have your students jumping out of their shoes, as they are confronted by bats, ghosts, spiders and rats! This is a lot of fun, but certainly NOT for the younger children. It's perfect at Halloween, but can be read anytime you want to give your students a little scare! This story teaches the valuable Character development lesson of facing one's own fears.
A Not-So-Scary Halloween/Fall Festival Story (for grades pre-K to 2) is a heart-warming tale about all of the FUN things that take place every Autumn. Your students will meet Mac O'Lantern, the Jack-O-Lantern who will teach them how to let their own lights shine fom deep inside themselves. This story is followed by a craft in which the students create their own construction paper jack-o-lanterns.
WinterFest Story (for grades pre-K to 2) is a heart-warming tale about all the FUN and Beauty of Winter. Your students will meet "Losty" the Snowman, who will teach them how to share their own inner beauty with others. Yes, that's right, this is basically the same as the Halloween/Fall Festival Story except that this is read during the months of January and February. You do NOT want to schedule both of these stories for the same students, in the same school year. This story is followed by a craft in which the students use paper and scissors to make snowflakes.
The Quest for the True Treasure (for grades pre-K to 4) is an adventurous Pirate Tale in which you and your students will be swept away onto the high seas, by Cap'n' Snark -- the Cleverest Pirate on the Seven Seas. You'll meet his First Mate, a parrot named Mr. McFinkeldorf; and you'll go on an exciting treasure hunt, full of adventures. Along the way, your class will learn that anything of value is worth the hard work required to obtain it. They will also learn that the true treasure is knowledge!
